India Nepal Cultural Tour

Day 01 : Delhi Arrival
Arrive Delhi International airport. Our  representative will welcome you on the arrival lounge and will transfer to the hotel.  Day free for leisure.  Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi city tour
Full day Delhi sightseeing tour visiting the Raj Ghat (Cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi), Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar & India Gate (War Memorial). Drive past President House & Parliament House. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 03 : Delhi Kathmandu
Morning transfer to airport to board the flight for Kathmandu. Upon arrival transfer to Hotel. Overnight Kathmandu.

Day 04 : Kathmandu
Full day tour of Kathmandu city including Durbar Square which is also called Hanuman Dhoka named after the monkey god where a stone statue of Hanuman is placed right next to the main entrance protecting the whole palace; Swayambhunath stupa built in 250 BC, Patan -the capital city of Malla dynasty with many beautiful monuments built between 15th and 17th century and Tibetan Refugee Camp. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 05 : Kathmandu
Full day tour of Bhaktapur -the city of devotees, founded in 889, in the shape of a conch shell, Pashupatinath -the largest and holiest Hindu Temple & Bodhnath -the huge Buddhist stupa built during the 5th century. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 06 : Kathmandu – Varanasi (Banaras)
Morning free for leisure.  Later transfer to the Airport to board the flight for Varanasi by flight IC # 752 dep. 14:10 hrs and arr. 14:50 hrs. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Evening visit river Ganga Ghat to attend the holy Aarti. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 07 : Varanasi (Banaras)
Early Morning boat tour on River Ganges to visit Bathing Ghats, return to hotel for breakfast. City tours of Varanasi visiting various temples and noted Banaras Hindu University. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath. It was here that the Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon and set in motion the wheel of law of Buddhist faith. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08 : Varanasi – Khajuraho
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board the flight for Khajuraho, flight # 9W 723, dep at 12:20 hrs and arr at 13:00 hrs. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Later visit the erotic temples of Khajuraho. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 09 : Khajuraho – Jhansi – Agra
After breakfast drive to Jhansi i.e.190 Kms or 4 Hrs drive. En-route visit centuries old Orchha Temples built by Chandela rulers. Upon arrival transfer to railway station to catch the train to Agra by Train # 2001 New Delhi Shatabdi dep. 17:56 hrs and arr. 20:25 hrs. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 10 : Agra
After breakfast city tour of Agra visiting the world famous Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Itmad-ud-Daula and Sikdendra Fort. Overnight stay in the hotel. (Taj Mahal remains closed on every Friday)

Day 11 : Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Jaipur i.e. 232 kms / 05 hrs drive. En-route visiting the unique deserted Mughal City of Fatehpur Sikri still in excellent state of preservation. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Afternoon city tour of Jaipur visiting the Hawa Mahal – the palace of winds, the Observatory or the Jantar Mantar. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 12 : Jaipur
Morning full day excursion to Ajmer and Pushkar. The visits consists of the Tomb of the Sufi Saint, Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, the Dargah Sharif. The city was founded by the Chauhan ruler, Aiaipal, during the 11th century & is dominated by the Taragarh Fort built by Prithviraj Chauhan. In Pushkar, visit the holy Lake and also the famous Brahma Temple. Pushkar is one of the holiest places for Hindus. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 13 : Jaipur – Ajmer / Pushkar – Jaipur
After breakfast visit to Amber Fort - Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Elephant ride / Jeep Safari is provided to ascend hill on top of which the fort is situated. Rest of the day is free for leisure.  Evening you may explore the colourful local markets. Overnight in the Jaipur.

Day 14 : Jaipur – Delhi – Out
After breakfast drive back to Delhi 252 Kms / 5 hrs drive. Upon arrival in Delhi transfer to airport to connect flight for onward destination.
