Kerala Wildlife Tour

Day 01 : Arrive Cochin
Arrive Cochin. Meeting & Greeting at Airport & transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02 : Cochin
After breakfast sightseeing tour to Cochin. Cochin, Kerala's commercial centre, it has a fine natural harbour & gateway for Kerala is famous for Mattanchery Palace, St. Francis Church, Wellington Island, Bolghatty Island, Chinese Fishing nets and Jewish Synagogue. Cruising on the back-waters provides glimpses of the rural life, fine view of the harbor and three islands. Evening witness Kathakali Dance Show in a theatre. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 : Cochin - Munnar (approx 125 Kms 3 hrs. drive)
After breakfast drive to Munnar. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free to witness the beauty of nature. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04 : Munnar
After breakfast full day sightseeing tour to Munnar. Visit of Eravikulam National Park, the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr (Hermitragus Hylcrious) - the mountain goat of South India. Visit Mattupatty dam. In the evening visit tea estates. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 : Munnar - Periyar (approx 120 Kms. 3 hrs. drive)
After breakfast drive to Periyar. On arrival at Periyar transfer to hotel. Later visit the Sanctuary. This sanctuary has about 35 tigers and leopards. The park encompasses a 26 sq km artificial lake and is the home of sambars, wild boars, elephants and antelopes which can be occasionally seen on the banks of the river during a boat cruise. Periyar, otherwise, blessed by Nature has enormous tea, coffee, pepper and cardamom plantations and is lush green. Afternoon boat cruise on Lake Periyar. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06 : Periyar
Full day free for game viewing at Sanctuary

Optionally you can take Trekking/ Rafting Tour which includes Five Hours of Trekking through the forest and 2 ½ hours of Bamboo Rafting. Package includes Breakfast, lunch and snacks. Forest guide/ naturalist and transport to Begin/End point

Day 07 : Periyar - Kumarakom (approx 136 kms. 3 Hrs. drive)
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom via Kottayam. Kottayam is another commercial centre of Kerala. Dotted with churches and covered with rubber plantations, it is just 16 km away from Kumarakom and Vembanand Lake. To the city's west are delightful backwaters and to its east is the most fertile and scenic part of the Western Ghats having rubber, tea, coffee, pepper and cardamom plantations. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day free. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08 : Kumarakom - Alleppey backwater cruise
After breakfast at hotel embark Kerala Houseboat "Kettuvalam" at Kumarakom jetty. Staying in this moving palace is breathtakingly stimulating experience. While sailing down a maze of canals one sees different scenes from the villages, paddy fields, coconut palms, fisherman and local life. Lunch, dinner next day breakfast and tea snacks will be provided in the boat. Overnight at houseboat.

Day 09 : Alleppey - Varkala (approx 120 Kms. 3 hrs. drive)
After breakfast disembark houseboat. Later drive to Varkala . On arrival transfer to hotel. Day is free to relax on beach. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10 : Varkala
Full day free to relax on beach. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11 : Varkala - - Kovalam
After breakfast drive to Kovalam (approx 100 Kms 3 hrs. drive). En-route visiting the ancient city and capital of Kerala state. Visit Sri Padmanabha Temple, Kuthiramalika Palace, Zoo, Srichithra Art Gallery and Napier Musiem. Evening free to relax on the beach. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12 : Kovalam - Kanyakumari - Kovalam
Full day excursion to Kanyakumari (approx 67 kms / 1 ½ 2 Hrs. drive). Kanyakumari -the tip of peninsular India where 3 seas -Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal meet. Visit Kanyakumari Temple, Gandhi Memorial and Vivekananda Memorial. Evening visit the spectacular Sunset and drive back to Kovalam hotel. Overnight at Kovalam.

Day 13 : Kovalam - - Onward Destination
Full day free to relax on beach. Later in the evening transfer to Airport at (approx 17 Kms) to connect flight for onward destination.
