Day 01 : Delhi
Arrive
Delhi. Meeting & Greeting at Airport. On arrival transfer to hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 02 : Delhi - Udaipur
Morning half day sightseeing tour to Delhi which includes, Raj Ghat-
cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, drive past to Red Fort to India Gate - a
42 meter stone arch built in the memory of the Indian Soldiers who died in
World War II, Drive past the President's House & Parliament House,
transfer to Airport to connect flight for Udaipur. On arrival transfer to
hotel. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 : Udaipur
After breakfast, take a sightseeing tour of Udaipur visiting the Jagdish
temple, Crystal Gallery, City Palace complex, Sahelion Ki Bari etc. Evening
take a boat ride at Fateh Sagar Lake. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 : Udaipur - Ranakpur - Jodhpur (259 kms / 6 hrs drive)
After breakfast depart for Jodhpur, en-route visit 15-16th centuary
Ranakpur Jain temples. On arrival transfer to hotel. Evening visit the
Balsamand Lake. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 05 : Jodhpur - Khimsar - Nagaur
After breakfast take a half day sightseeing tour of Jodhpur, visiting the
Mehrangarh fort, Jaswant Thada, Maha Mandir temple and Umaid Bhawan Palace.
Later drive to Nagaur (approx 135 kms 3 ½ hrs. drive). En-route visits
Khimsar Fort. 500 years old fort in the middle of the Thar Desert; turned
into a hotel furnished with modern facilities. Mugal Emperor Aurangzeb used
to stay here. Nagaur - The history of Nagaur finds mention even in the
Mahabharata. The birth place of Meera and Abul Fazal, Nagaur. On arrival
transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 : Nagaur
After breakfast full say sightseeing tour to Nagaur visit Nagaur Fort -
Sandy fort; centrally located; 2nd century old; witnessed many battles;
lofty walls & spacious campus; having many palaces & temples inside.
Tarkeen Dargah - Most renowned after the Ajmer Dargah; sacred place for
Muslims & Sufis. Jain Temple in Glass - Lofty structure of glass; sacred
place for the Jain community. Saiji ka Tanka - Samadhi of a renowned saint,
inspires the liberation of the soul with simplicity & truthfulness; a
symbol of communal harmony.
Day 07 : Nagaur - Bikaner
After breakfast drive to Bikaner (approx 112 Kms. 3 hrs. drive). On arrival
transfer to hotel. Later in the afternoon visit the Junagarh Fort and the
Camel Breeding Farm. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 : Bikaner - Jaisalmer
After
breakfast drive to the medieval town of Jaisalmer (333 kms/ 7 hrs) on the
fringe of Thar Desert. On arrival check into hotel. The rest of the day is
free for leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 : Jaisalmer
After breakfast sightseeing of Jaisalmer includes the Fort, housing the
entire township within its ramparts, Akhaiya Pol, Ganesh Pol, Suraj Pol and
Hava Pol. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 : Jaisalmer - Jaipur
Morning is free for relax. Explore the local bazaar by your own. Later
transfer to railway station to catch train for Jaipur. By JSM DLI Express,
Train No. 4060, Dep. Jaisalmer at 1530 hrs, Overnight at train.
Day 11 : Jaipur
Arrive Jaipur at 0455 hrs. On arrival transfer to hotel. After breakfast
excursion to Amer Fort. Ascend by painted elephant / Jeep up to fort with
its huge gateways and pillared pavilions. It has a marble Palace, Temple of
victory and Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors). Afternoon City tour of Jaipur.
Visit City Palace and Museum. Nearby is the ornate Hawa Mahal (Palace of
winds) which is five stories high and is decorated with delicate screens
carved from stone. Also visit Jantar Mantar. Observatory, which is still
equipped with immense, brick and mortar instrument. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 12 : Jaipur - Agra
After breakfast proceed to Agra (232 kms / 5 hrs). En-route visits Fatephur
Sikri a fascinating ghost town. On arrival in Agra check-in at the hotel. In
the evening visit the magnificent Taj Mahal. Also visit Agra Fort,
Itmad-ud-daula. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13 : Agra
After breakfast visit to Taj Mahal - The Monument of love, built by Mogul
Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 to enshrine the mortal remains of his queen Mumtaj
Mahal. Also visit Agra Fort dominated by red sandstone construction &
houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and other noteworthy structures. Evening
is free for shopping. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14 : Agra - Delhi - Onward Destination
After breakfast drive to Delhi (approx 203 Kms. 4 hrs. drive). En-route
visit Sikandra: The worthy monument here is the tomb of Akbar which shows an
interesting fusion of Hindu & Muslim art and architecture reflecting the
spirit of the emperor himself. On arrival at Delhi transfer to Airport to
connect flight for onward destination.
